Post wedding plans cannot be avoided in order to ensure a successful wedding. Here are some of the most important of all post wedding plans:
- Planning your honeymoon
- Planning the reception
- Planning an after party
For the perfect honeymoon experience, make sure you plan and make all the reservations well in advance, picking a place where both of you are bound to enjoy. Check your passport and visa statuses in advance, in case of foreign travel.
Wedding receptions are almost as important as the wedding itself. The theme is usually in sync with the wedding theme and is kept a formal event. This is where the newly-wed couple interacts with the guests, so make sure the seating arrangement is spread out for easy mobility of the guests and keep the music subtle, so that the guests can chat easily.
After parties are a more recent tradition, started to extend the wedding celebrations a bit more. An after party may be formal or casual. People usually prefer a more casual theme, as a break from the formal setting of the rest of the wedding. These can be properly organised cocktail parties, or simply a booze party at a local pub. Either way, these parties are meant for the guests and the new couple to drink, let loose and have some unbridled fun. Either ways, you must book the place in advance, to avoid running around town to find a party spot on the night of the after party.
Some couples may also like to send out thank you cards to all the guests for their gifts and wishes. For this, you will have to buy the necessary stationary and post the cards after signing them/writing in them, as soon as possible, after the wedding.
